To ensure the speediest possible solution to your problem, please fill out the form below rather than sending an email or making a call. It sends to a special email address that notifies me immediately. In the event that I’m not personally available to help (backpacking in Mongolia, etc.) the form will redirect your message to someone who can help within one business day (but generally within the hour.)
Please note that assistance & training for your site is included for 3 months post-deployment. After that time, there will be a fee, billed to the quarter of an hour and invoiced at the end of each month. If your question(s) involve the basic functioning of WordPress, you might save money by checking out my WordPress Tutorial Packages.
Rest assured, someone will get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, feel comforted by this photo of a friendly female helpline operator with headphones. (We’re told it reduces symptoms of panic.)
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a page and a post in WordPress?
A very frequent question! And very ably answered here: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/what-is-the-difference-between-posts-vs-pages-in-wordpress/
Why do I keep losing my changes?
There are several possible reasons for this, but the MOST COMMON reason new users run into trouble is that they are making edits, previewing the page, and then going back in to EDIT THE PREVIEW PAGE instead of the original. This creates a whole load of mess.
If you find yourself getting confused, don’t use the preview function. Simply make your changes, click update, then view the page or post. If you want to use the preview function, it is a good strategy to close all your browser tabs except the far left (the page you are editing) and one tab to the right of that – the preview. After you check the preview, go back to editing the content on the far left tab.
I just have a quick question. Can I please just call?
Here’s the thing: I love helping. I love my clients. I love helping my clients. And as my list of loves has grown (I am quite thankful, btw) I find that I can easily spend half my day answering quick questions (because helping makes me happy) but leaving little time for billable work, which is necessary for feeding the hamsters. Please use this form to save me from myself.
