Editing Images In WordPress

by | Sep 13, 2018 | Wordpress

Editing images in WordPress is a good option for those folks (most folks) who don’t happen to have Photoshop or other image-editing software close at hand.

You’ve been told that your featured image needs to be 1200 pixels across, but you’re looking at an image on your phone with no idea what a pixel is, let alone how to change the number of them. You just want it to show up on your WordPress blog and look decent.

If this sounds like you, then the video below can help. A basic introduction to digital photos and how to resize them properly from inside your WordPress media library.

I don’t know that I’d recommend editing images in WordPress if you are building a whole site or are super concerned about image quality. The compression can be lossy, and the process is clunky if you are used to other image editors. That being said, if you just want to get that photo onto the blog post and be done with it, then this may just be the right tool.
